Beijing Digital Museum of Traditional Chinese Medicine (BVTCM), organized and sponsored by Beijing Administration of Traditional Chinese Medicine and the Beijing Science ＆Technology Society, is a virtual network platform to display the brilliant five-thousand-year history, science ＆ technology, culture, relics, researches and education in TCM. We would like to present you original, practical, more comprehensive and well-translated knowledge of TCM that may help you to access to this field, and share the latest research achievements with you.

Our project team is composed of TCM professors, researchers, computer and internet engineers, and media technicians and artists. There are three levels in this administration system, namely advisory committee, executive committee and project team. The advisory committee takes responsibility of making final decision on important issues or dilemmas, while executive committee is in charge of organization, coordination and supervision on the project, and the project team undertakes writing the script, translation and IT design. At the late stage, a professional supervision committee was established to supervise the schedule and quality control. Since the project was authorized in 2002 till to August, 2007, we have accomplished 11 sub-museums in Chinese and 9 in English.

The construction of BVTCM is a systematic project and a time consuming hard work, though we are determined to achieve our desired effects---to make it the first and most distinctive digitalized TCM attraction center of TCM, an internationally well-known information center of TCM, a widely welcomed internet service center and a famous digital museum of TCM at home and abroad.
